1892-O Morgan Dollar in Handmade Pendant Setting

from 255.00

This 1892-O American Morgan Dollar rests in a setting made of recycled sterling silver wire. I make each setting by hand separately from the coin. The silver setting has been oxidized to accentuate the patina of the unpolished coin. The coin does not have a hole drilled in it or any metal soldered to it's edge.

This coin was designed by George T. Morgan, assistant engraver for the US Mint. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Liberty surrounded by the lettering E PLURIBUS UNUM, 13 stars, and the year. The reverse has the Great Seal of the United States with the lettering IN GOD WE TRUST and the mintmark O (New Orleans mint). The metal content of the coin is 90% silver. The coin was minted from 1878 until 1921.

The pendant is available with the link chain featured in the pictures. The link chain is sterling silver with a lobster claw clasp. The length of the chain in 32 inches.
