Vintage Morocco 100 Franc Mohamed V Coin in Handmade Pendant Setting

75.00

This 1953 Moroccan 100 Franc coin rests in a hand crafted setting made of recycled sterling silver wire . I make each setting by hand separately from the coin. The coin does not have a hole drilled in it or any metal soldered to it's edge.

Designed by J. Hainaut, the Morocco 100 Franc was minted in 1953 under the French Protectorate. The obverse of the coin has a large star with a circle in the center that has a smaller star. Both stars are symbols for the Seal of Soloman. The reverse features the value and date surrounded by the lettering MAROC EMPIRE CHERIFIEN, 100 FRANCS, AN 1953 1372. The metal content of the coin is 72% silver.
