75.00

This 1940 Scottish Crest One Shilling rests in a hand crafted setting made of recycled sterling silver wire . I make each setting by hand separately from the coin. The coin does not have a hole drilled in it or any metal soldered to it's edge.

The coin was designed by Thomas Paget (obverse) and George Edward Kruger Gray (reverse). The coin was minted from 1937- 1946. The obverse of the coin has a portrait of George VI. The reverse features the value, year, and a crowned lion holding a scepter and a sword sitting atop the crown flanked by two shields. The shield feature two important Scottish symbols: the thistle and the St. Andrew's cross. The metal content of the coin is .500 silver.
